There are three year-end offerings that you can choose from at Mooloolaba and Woodford.
The first two are at The Yacht Club, Mooloolaba.
On 30 December 2016, Rude Boys will be playing their usual uplifting ska and reggae set at The Yacht Club. They are an eight-piece band who draws their influences from all around the world. Their band is a merry mix of cultures as well – Barbados, Trinidad, Ireland, Lebanon, and Australia.
Rude Boys loves to surprise their audience with their unexpected arrangements that include powerful horns and foot-stomping drums. The Rude Boys have played at packed dance floors on the Sunshine Coast, Noosa, and Brisbane. The three-hour show will start at 8pm.
Another show at The Yacht Club is their old school New Year’s Eve treat. Take a trip down memory lane with Old Skool who will play all the classics and hits from the 70’s to present.
It’s mostly a rock show with hits from Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, The Eagles, ACDC and more!
The show will start at 6pm and will rock on to welcome the new year.
Want something more outdoorsy? Then head on to the Woodford Folk Festival! On its thirtieth year, Woodford Folk Festival will be a six-day event that will feature more than 2,000 performers and 428 activities lined up on its program.
From 27 December 2016 to 1 January 2017, there will be a concerts, dances, street theatre, writers’ panels, films, comedy sessions, cabarets, circus performances, parades, and more! Be sure to watch out for the spectacular surprises!
There are 35 performance venues within the festival village at Woodfordia. Festival essentials such as restaurants, cafes, stalls and bars will be in the vicinity. There will also be lush nature landscapes, butterfly walks and pristine ponds on the picturesque site. Day tickets start from $86
