Mooloolaba Tri 2021
The 2021 Mooloolaba Tri kicks off autumn on the Sunshine Coast with the region’s biggest triathlon event. Held annually, the Mooloolaba Tri poses the ultimate challenge for triathletes of all ages, sending them across Mooloolaba Esplanade on a course that comprises a 1.5km swim, 40km bike ride and 10km run.
The region’s best triathletes are surely looking forward to this one, but it’s also the perfect excuse to head to Mooloolaba to soak up the action as well as some much-needed beach sunshine.
Don’t miss it – the Mooloolaba Tri comes to Mooloolaba Esplanade on Sunday, March 14.
Mooloolaba Mile 2021
Just one week after the Mooloolaba Tri, catch the 2021 Mooloolaba Mile: one of the most iconic swimming events in Australia.
The main event is, of course, the 1.6km Mooloolaba Mile, but there’s also the 800m Junior Giants, 800m and 3km swim – the biggie for seasoned swimmers looking to challenge themselves.
Take part this year or cheer on the participants from Mooloolaba Beach! Mooloolaba Mile 2021 takes place on Sunday, March 21.
Aussies Australian Surf Life Saving Championships 2021
Can’t make it to the Sunshine Coast this March? No worries – The Aussies is back in April with over 480 events to spectate over the course of nine action-packed days.
The Aussies is one of the biggest surf life saving championships in the world, pitting more than 300 of Australia’s best surf clubs against one another in a gruelling trial of land and sea. The events will be held in Mooloolaba, at the Alexandra Headland and in Maroochydore at their respective surf clubs, with simply plenty to watch on and enjoy.
You won’t want to miss it – make sure you’re on the Sunshine Coast when The Aussies returns from April 16 to April 24.
Spend the Easter Holiday on Mooloolaba Beach
The Aussies will take place during the April school holiday, which is also the perfect time to escape for some much-needed beach relaxation. Enjoy the above and kick back on Mooloolaba Beach – one of the most sought-after Sunshine Coast beaches – where you swim, surf, sunbathe and dine in style right on the beachfront.
If you’re planning to spoil the kids over Easter, Mooloolaba Beach also boasts SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast, which tops the list as the region’s best marine park attraction.
